Jesus Heals

A Woman Called Veronica

Jesus Heals A Woman, Veronica

And a great crowd followed him and thronged about him. And there was a woman who had had a flow of blood for twelve years, and who had suffered much under many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was no better but rather grew worse. She had heard the reports about Jesus, and came up behind him in the crowd and touched his garment. For she said, “If I touch even his garments, I shall be made well.” And immediately the hemorrhage ceased; and she felt in her body that she was healed of her disease.

And Jesus, perceiving in himself that power had gone forth from him, immediately turned about in the crowd, and said, “Who touched my garments?” And his disciples said to him, “You see the crowd pressing around you, and yet you say, ‘Who touched me?’” And he looked around to see who had done it. But the woman, knowing what had been done to her, came in fear and trembling and fell down before him, and told him the whole truth. And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your disease.” Mark 5:24-34

Her Name Is Veronica

Apostle Matthew: Son of man, do you know the person called Veronica?

The Head: Veronica was the woman who was looking for an artist to draw the picture of Jesus for her. On her way to find an artist, she met Jesus. Jesus told her to give Him the clothe, which she did. He pressed the clothe on His face, and His picture appeared on the clothe.

Apostle Matthew: Son of man, why have humanity put themselves in confusion?

The Head: Let God make us to understand.

Apostle Matthew: Where did you people read this?

The Head: It is not in the bible.

Apostle Matthew: Where did you get the information?

The Head: I was reading many books on my own. Books that were explaining spiritual realities of life.

Apostle Matthew: Son of man, it is good that yourself read such books. It is very important that the children of God read books on spiritual realities of life, because there is confusion in the bible.

Apostle Matthew: Why did the bible authors not write her name?

The Head: It may be among the books that were removed. May be the bible authors did not know about her or that they have not heard about her works.

Apostle Matthew: Who will tell me the name of this woman of issue of blood?

The Head: Let God make us to know.

Apostle Matthew: Herself is veronica.

The Head: Thanks be to God.

Apostle Matthew: The bible authors did not write about her.

What has the name done that they would not write about it?

Is it to make her the most famous?

The Head: Sometimes, they did not write about the women, because humanity do think that women are to be seen and not heard. But they supposed to write her name and explain who she was, explain the reasons why she was afraid to touch the hem of Jesus’s garment. She knew that God gave the rites of holiness. An unclean person should not touch a minister of God. They supposed to explain this very well, for humanity to know that it is important to observe the rites of holiness.

Apostle Matthew: Son of man, yourself answered very well.

Apostle Matthew: But how did she hear about Jesus?

The Head: According to human understanding, the news of the miracles, healing deliverances and teachings of Jesus spread abroad, and she followed the news to find Jesus.

That is what these present and modern generations are doing. Once they hear the news of miracles being performed by any person, they rush to the place, without first asking, is it the Holy Spirit that is at work?

Or, is it the powers of darkness that is working?

Apostle Matthew: Son of man, what yourself has said are correct. Her name is Veronica.

Apostle Matthew: Son of man, some people said that when the roman soldiers killed Jesus, and were flogging and flogging and flogging Him, spitting on Him, it touched the heart of this veronica. She took a clothe and wiped the face of Jesus.

The Head: Was it at that time that Jesus’s picture appeared on the clothe?

Apostle Matthew: No, it was not at that time.
